DIS Application Program Interface


Upon finishing this course the student will be able to use LynX for setting up an Application Definition File containing templates for DIS Inbound and Outbound Entities, DIS Special Effects and DIS Isectors. The student should be able to write an application interacting with a DIS ADF using the basic Vega classes to process detonations and fire PDUs, DIS Entity state changes.


Software engineers who are familiar with real-time application including visual and flight simulation.


This course assumes a reasonable level of practical graphics experience. Students should be familiar with common visual simulation terminology and applications. One or more years of C/C++ programming is desired. This course assumes the student has successfully completed a LynX/Vega course.


Instructor led course with lab book and hands on coding exercises.
