If you are using Creator on Windows, you will need to locate your dongle number. If you are using Creator on IRIX, you will need to locate your lockcode number. Technical support requires these numbers in order to identify your product and the maintenance status of that product.

Locating your dongle number (WINDOWS ONLY)

If you are using Creator on Windows, you have been given a hardware lock known as a dongle to attach to your computer. Every dongle MultiGen - Paradigm sends out is given a unique five digit number. You can find the dongle by looking at the back of your computer system, the dongle attaches to the parallel port. Keep in mind that this dongle may be either attached to the system upon which Creator is installed, or the system acting as a Creator license server. Contact your IT department if you need help finding the dongle. This number can be found by any of the following methods:

Method 1
The dongle number should be physically written on the dongle itself.

Method 2
The dongle number is printed on your original license diskette (a 3 1/2" floppy)

Method 3
When installing Creator you are asked for a serial number, if you entered your dongle number as your serial number you can access this number from within Creator. With Creator open select 'On Version...' from the Help menu.
