Urban Simulation Used as a Key Tool for Building Design
The City of Rochester, NY commissioned this model to help evaluate key design issues related to a planned public safety building in the downtown area of the city. This application proved to be a valuable design tool for the proposed $17 million dollar project.

The simulation was used by city officials and the architect to evaluate site circulation, facade treatment, line of sight issues and building aesthetics. In addition, because the surrounding buildings were included in the visualization, viewers were able to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the new facility and the existing complex of buildings.

The models were constructed with MultiGen Creator. A custom simulation application was built with Vega.
