Design and Planning analysis for urban-regional expansion
High-Quality Laboratory - Territorial-Integrated Project (LAQ-TIP) is an initiative within the Departments of Architectural Design and Territorial Studies and Planning at the Politecnico di Torino, to develop emerging information and communication technologies in urban-regional analysis, design and planning.
LAQ-TIP researches and develops systems, used by architects, planners, and decision-makers, to study different scenarios and datascapes of urban and regional areas.
LAQ-TIP is committed to support city and regional design and planning processes in master planning, urban transformation area analysis, urban indicators visualization, landscape planning, and urban and regional development.
The application presented is developed with MultiGen Creator and Vega Prime and is deployed in a CAVE environment. DEM, satellite images and several geo-referenced datasets were used to create cultural features.
