A military customer uses this desert area terrain database built by Simtech for simulated, live-firing training as well as debriefing tank crews. Source data included 3-meter resolution terrain elevation data, 25 cm orthophotos, original photographs of the specific area and a topographical map of the area. The model was built using the MultiGen-Paradigm suite of Creator database authoring tools.

The development team devoted a lot of effort to make the terrain as accurate and precise as possible, including the incorporation of irregular elevation data to fully enable accurate line of sight interrogation.
