Preparing tank crews and platoons to succeed in ground operations

This image is from the Tank Platoon Tactical Training (PTT) Simulator being developed by Rotem for the Korean Army. The PTT Simulator is designed to offer team training to tank crews and tactical training to platoon level tank troops under various battlefield situations in the virtual environment. The PTT is a safe and efficient means of ensuring crews obtain operational skill proficiency in a short timeframe. The terrain and models were built using MultiGen Creator. The texturing tools, construction options and hierarchy view allowed Rotem to create and modify the models quickly and easily. Vega Prime and its options-especially Special Effects (FX)-reduced the time and effort to develop various visual effects such as explosions, dust, fire, rotor wash essential to provide a realistic training environment.
