Realizing Cost Efficiencies by Delivering Re-usable, Open Databases

This image shows the Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Landing Facility. The database was developed by NASA/Ames Future Flight Central and is used by the Kennedy Space Center for tower citing studies and to develop new emergency and security procedures for Shuttle landing and for Shuttle convoy operations.

AutoCAD drawings of the Shuttle Landing Facility, obstruction charts, high-resolution aerial photos were provided by the Kennedy Space Center. MultiGen Creator and Creator Terrain Bundle were used to develop the database. The application is deployed on SGI Onyx 2.
