The company's introduction of Vega for Linux is in line with its strategy to provide the most robust and comprehensive solution supporting multiple platforms in the visual simulation marketplace. Developers will benefit from previous experience in the Unix environment, resulting in reduced reducing development and delivery costs. The openness of Linux offers opportunities for operating system performance enhancements. "With the port of Vega to Linux, MultiGen-Paradigm continues to lead the industry with simulation tools and application solutions for multiple platforms," said Elizabeth Smith, vice president of engineering, MultiGen-Paradigm. MultiGen-Paradigm has developed Vega for Linux for its military and commercial customers wishing to deploy applications on low cost, PC-based hardware on a sophisticated operating system such as Linux. Vega for Linux will be available to MultiGen-Paradigm customers in the third quarter 2000.
