San Jose, Calif. - October 6, 2003 - MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc., a leading provider of real-time 3D software solutions, announced today an agreement with ESRIŽ to embed vector mapping components from ESRI's ArcObjects™ library in the next version of Creator Terrain Studio™, MultiGen-Paradigm's large-area terrain database generation solution. ArcObjects is the component-based technology framework for ESRI's ArcGIS® software suite. This agreement with ESRI, the world leader in the nearly $2 billion geographic information system (GIS) market, will enable Creator Terrain Studio to deliver a powerful set of vector, display, creation and editing tools by seamlessly embedding ArcGIS mapping components within Creator Terrain Studio. Leveraging ESRI's GIS expertise will significantly enhance the value of using Creator Terrain Studio by expanding the capability for viewing and editing vector data, all based on ESRI's ArcObjects technology. The enhanced Creator Terrain Studio interface will allow users to view, edit and create vector data without having to process this data in another software application, significantly saving time and resources. Creator Terrain Studio processes and manages data for the creation of complex visual simulation databases. The tool captures the workflow process and catalogs metadata about datasets based on MultiGen-Paradigm's MetaFlight™ schema to facilitate shorter development and production cycles and enable the reuse of data. By embedding ArcObjects technology, Creator Terrain Studio now also ensures a seamless workflow when converting 2D data to 3D, further streamlining the work process.
