DIGITAL ARTFORMS, INC. ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH MULTIGEN-PARADIGM TO ADVANCE SMARTSCENE TECHNOLOGY

Relationship allows for advancement of technology providing the most intuitive way to interact in a 3D environment

Los Gatos, CA, September 25, 2001 - Digital ArtForms, Inc. announced an agreement with MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc., the leading provider of commercial-off-the shelf realtime 3D software solutions for the visual simulation community, to continue the advancement of MultiGen-Paradigm's SmartScene technology.

SmartScene is the first application to fully exploit realtime 3D technologies to train, certify and maintain efficient workforces and to enable man-in-the-loop virtual prototyping processes. SmartScene was developed by MultiGen-Paradigm by fusing their leading realtime technologies with an intuitive two-handed interface, creating the most efficient immersive technology available.

"We are excited to be in a position to advance SmartScene and its two-handed interface, arguably the world's most effective interface for 3D interactive simulation and training because it's the most natural way to interact with a 3D environment," said Paul Mlyniec, president of Digital ArtForms, Inc. "Through the support of the current SmartScene, the productization of interesting technologies built on SmartScene, and the creation of new two-handed applications, we can make a difference in the world of 3D. We are grateful to MultiGen-Paradigm for its support in this endeavor and will continue to work with MultiGen-Paradigm both technically and as our primary sales channel in the future," states Mlyniec.

"This agreement allows us to continue to focus on our core technology and allow SmartScene, a derivative of our core technology, to be further advanced and developed by Digital ArtForms," said Sandeep Divekar, president of MultiGen-Paradigm.
