The demonstration features the Datavisor HiRes viewing a high-resolution terrain database developed by RealDB, Inc. The application is running on PC-based Vega NT from Multigen-Paradigm, Inc. and head-tracking is provided by the IS-300 precision motion tracker from InterSense, Inc. Among the new hand-held systems, n-vision is showing a prototype of its new Virtual Binocular. The Virtual Binocular has been updated with new, lightweight XGA (1024x768) full color, flat panel displays and is stereo compatible. Ideal applications for the product include military training and medical imaging. n-vision is also demonstrating a prototype of a newer, more affordable VB-30; a low-cost hand-held display ideal for interactive public exhibits or virtual reality applications with limited budgets. The VB-30 contains an integrated Intertrax-2 motion tracker from InterSense.
