MULTIGEN-PARADIGM ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF VEGA PRIME

Advanced capabilities make newest runtime tool most flexible and extensible ever

San Jose, Calif. - March 28, 2002 - MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc., the leading provider of realtime 3D software solutions, announced today that Vega Prime™ for Microsoft Windows, the company's premier 3D application development and deployment tool, is now available and shipping to customers. Vega Prime includes VSG™ (Vega Scene Graph™ MultiGen-Paradigm's advanced low-level scene graph that provides an extensible, double precision environment for the creation of realtime 3D visual simulation applications. Vega Prime is the next generation of MultiGen-Paradigm's highly successful Vega product line.

Vega Prime features a customizable, extensible, STL compliant C++, plug-in based architecture providing users with greater flexibility in creating visual simulation applications than ever before. Vega Prime also includes LynX Prime, a GUI configuration tool completely re-designed to facilitate the rapid creation, modification, and configuration of Vega Prime applications. VSG is the foundation for Vega Prime, providing a high level of customization, and flexibility for the advanced simulation developer. Users will now have the ability to add or extend functionality to meet their application's specific requirements.

Vega Prime 1.0 is currently available for Windows users only, however, because of the single source architecture of Vega Prime, applications and code written in the Windows version will be immediately usable and viable for the SGI® Irix® Linux and Sun Microsystems Solaris™ Operating Environment platforms once released later this year.
